Guest Preacher in August at PUMC

Join usDuring COVID restrictions, we have all missed worshiping in person. Peterborough United Methodist Church is now worshiping in person on Sunday Mornings at 10 am. We open all the windows, ask people to be vaccinated or to wear masks if not. And we meet outside after church on the lawn.
August will be an incredibly special time as The Reverend Dr. David Pierce of Rindge, NH will bring the message most of the Sundays. Here is his bio and the schedule. Come and be inspired. Everyone is welcome.
(Michael Robidoux will preach on August 8.)
David has pastored churches in Michigan, Florida and recently in New Hampshire. He and his wife, Jenny, live in Rindge along with Dr. Andrea Moore (daughter), Josh (son-in-law), Evie (granddaughter) and Ellie (granddaughter).
Dr. Pierce brings a wide range of professional experiences to the pulpit. Along with his divinity degree (M.Div.) he holds a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in both psychology and religion. As a clinical psychologist he practiced psychotherapy and was a university professor of psychology. His research and publications centered around neurophysiology and how the human mind makes meaning. After being ordained within the Presbyterian Church (USA), he also served as a tenured professor in a theological seminary, as the dean of a graduate school of theology, and as a college president, all within the Presbyterian (USA) denomination. Nonetheless, in spite of his love for teaching and the academy, David reports his highest calling has come within his pastoral roles during the past 39 years.
David enjoys being a recently retired pastor with his interests in RV camping, snow-skiing, sailing, riding his motorcycle, and pulpit supply.
