The second week in July will bring an interfaith summer vacation Bible school experience to Monadnock area children. Three Peterborough churches are working together to bring Mustard Seed Spirit Camp alive. The camp will run from Monday through Friday, July 11th -15th from 9 AM – 2 PM.
*Registration for our VBS is now closed.
Themes revolving around stewardship of society’s resources will be explored – food, shelter, clothing, transportation, and education/technology. Asking questions, playing games, making a mess now and then while doing some art projects – it’s all about fun with a purpose.
How can we care for and reduce waste when dealing with these resources? How can our society spread resources around equitably? What are our responsibilities for acquiring and using these resources? Heady questions, all, but talking things up, playing games that illustrate strong points, and making fun projects will help kids come away with a sense of understanding and mission. Working with new friends and old across church boundaries will foster community and plant seeds of cooperation.
Mustard Seed Spirit Camp is open to all children from K – 6. The program includes a snack and light lunch, as well as a daily afternoon field trip out into the community.
