MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:
If you are searching for a church where you can live daily the joy of faith in Christ, we want you to know that we welcome and desire your membership at Peterborough United Methodist Church.
Fill out the guest card in the pew and give it to the pastor or put it in the offering plate, and you will be contacted.
You may join:
BY CONFESSION OF FAITH AND BAPTISM
If you are not a baptized Christian, you are invited to accept the claims of Christ on your life and profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Our pastor would be happy to discuss baptism with you.
BY TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Our pastor will be glad to write your former church for your transfer.
BY TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER DENOMINATION
As you are already baptized and confirmed, our pastor or membership secretary will write to your former church for your transfer. You will be asked to take the vow made by all persons entering our congregation to support and uphold the United Methodist Church “by your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your service.”
HOW TO JOIN WITHOUT JOINING – AFFILIATE
If you are a United Methodist whose membership is elsewhere and you wish to keep it, you can become an “Affiliate” member of Peterborough United Methodist Church. We will write to your home church and inform them of your status.

to grow in its understanding of God’s word for today,
to support, nurture and deepen spiritual growth,
and to share the Good News through acts of compassion and commitment to justice.
We are a supportive community which respects the individuality of people,
