Progress: Chicken Dinner for Transitional Housing – Goal Reached 2015

Update on our Chicken Dinner for Transitional Housing:

Progress: Chicken Dinner for Transitional Housing - Goal Reached

Our church has raised $1,002 to be donated to Monadnock region transitional housing shelters. We raised $620 at the dinner, $268 at our special offering, and $114 selling extra dinners. We had 58 diners and donated 24 meals to local homeless people. Our yearly goal of $900 has been surpassed and will be split between MATS and Shelter From the Storm.
This dinner was a success despite the snow and some first-time jitters, and we plan to repeat our success with a dinner for a different mission later in the year.
Many thanks to all of our volunteers, the members of the congregation who gave, the community members who came, and the media outlets who shared in this effort.
