Peterborough United Methodist Church will hold a Special Church Conference to consider and vote on the proposal of the PUMC Technology Committee. This proposal is to purchase and install a new audio-visual system for the Church. If the proposal passes, the Trustees would seek permission of the Church Conference to use undesignated trust funds to finance the purchase and installation of the system.
The PUMC Technology Committee was established during the pandemic as the Church used live streaming to minister to existing members and those beyond our Church. We soon became aware of how inadequate our existing technology was. Research on new technology was begun. As technology was explored we came to understand that improvements in technology could also enhance our future in person worship experience in new and creative ways. That research has resulted in the proposal from the Technology Committee.
The proposal of the PUMC Technology Committee and financing of the system will be the only agenda items discussed and acted upon during the Special Church Conference on Tuesday, June 22 at 6 pm.
Attendees can join the meeting via Zoom, or at the church on that evening. Contact the church office for Zoom details.

It would be nice to see the proposal in writing before the church conference begins. Could the Technology Committee provide an outline of the proposed changes and upgrades proposed and the expected cost of the proposal for those who have not seen the final results of the committee recommendations?
