BIRTHDAYS AND WEDDING ANNIVERSARIES – WE WANT THEM!
One of the ways we are staying connected is by sending birthday letters to our church family. We would like to also send wedding anniversary cards. If you would please let the office know when your wedding anniversary is, we can start a list and let the congratulations begin!
*Wedding anniversaries won’t be posted in the newsletter, they will only be used for pastoral letters.

OUR TOWN QUIET VIGIL TO STAND UP FOR RACIAL JUSTICE
Rev. Card received the following message on June 16 from a member of All Saints Church. They are asking churches in Peterborough to join other churches by ringing their bells for 8 minutes and 46 seconds in memory of Mr. George Floyd. We do not have bells, so people would need to bring their own bells to participate:
WHEN: This Saturday, June 20th, 12 noon to 1 pm
*** Beginning close to 12:51 pm, we have asked area churches to consider ringing their bells for 8 minutes and 46 seconds in memory of Mr. George Floyd. Individuals will choose whether or how to respond to the bells. Some may bow their heads, others may take a knee and others may lie down.***
WHERE: They will be lining up along the sides of Rt. 202 between the Peterborough Town Library and the Jack Daniels Motel.
Parking:
• available for about 60 cars in the All Saints’ Parking lot on Concord Street
• available at the Union Congregational Church (33 Concord Street)
• in spaces around the Toadstool Bookstore
• the parking lot at the River Walk.
All participants will need to wear masks to keep those around us safe.
• Will need to distance ourselves from one another by at least 6 ft. Since people seeing us won’t know who is in the same household, we ask family members to respect this distance as well.
BRING: You are welcomed to bring your own sign whose message speaks to your reasons for standing up for racial justice. They will have a limited number of blank poster boards and markers. They ask that the message, the words be respectful and peaceful.
You are also welcomed to come and witness quietly in support.
SHARE: Please share this opportunity to act with your friends and networks.

This is NOT a Conference email. Do not respond; simply delete the email.
Legitimate email from the New England Conference will come from a neumc.org email address.
