HUNDRED NIGHTS – OCTOBER 24TH WEEKEND TAILGATE MEAL PLANNED
It’s that time again! This month, the temperatures are dropping and folks are looking forward to warm ‘stick to your ribs’ meals. I think this month’s menu is a winner, for sure. I’m hoping you all can jump on board and contribute to this Fall Night ‘ Stick to Your Ribs’ menu… who doesn’t love a hot gravy laden meatloaf dinner with baked potatoes, roasted veggies and a side salad? Topped off with a pumpkin muffin and a glass of milk for dessert? Yum!
If you’d like to contribute the potatoes, just wash them, poke them with a fork, wrap them in foil and have them to the church by 1 PM. I can roast them in the church ovens and have them hot and boxed for delivery by the time everyone else has delivered their food items.
The meat loaves and roasted carrots must come fully cooked and closely covered so that I can just put them in the warming oven. Pumpkin muffins should also come closely wrapped.
If you’d like to help, but don’t feel you want to cook, sign on to bring some fresh fruit or heavy duty paper plates, or the containers of condiments for the meal or beverage jugs. Every little bit helps when putting on a meal for close to 40 people!
So … check out the menu and please sign on to help with this meal. Once again, I will be delivering the complete meal to the Hundred Nights Drop In Center. Because of the continued risk of COVID exposure, the staff at Hundred Nights takes care of serving the meal. Please put your food donations in disposable foil containers and cover them securely, so there can be minimal air exposure when the meal is being served. Many thanks!!!
And now, it’s time to check out that menu!

The exhibit is on display at the United Church of Jaffrey Parish Hall this weekend at the following times:

Saturday, Oct. 10. 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
