ZOOM FELLOWSHIP HOSTING MIX-UP
Last weekend, our usual fellowship time was interrupted when there was no clear host to access the ZOOM platform to open the fellowship hour. Apologies to everyone who came to the ZOOM room, only to be left waiting!
After an oversight like this, it’s apparent that we need additional host volunteers and a definite schedule of hosting dates or we will need to discontinue the ZOOM fellowship hour. It seems unfortunate to discontinue, as that hour is a ‘golden opportunity’ for folks to connect for catching up, seeing faces, and keeping a ‘church fellowship routine’. That being said, if you would like to help continue these ZOOM times, please contact one of the current ZOOM host volunteers – Carol Owen, Christine Robidoux, Justine Gaskamp, or Susan Lindquist. They can give you a tutorial on the ZOOM platform, access information for the church’s ZOOM account, and help you with your first couple ZOOM hosting Sundays.

ADVENT WORSHIP – CHRISTMAS EVE
The church’s plastic candle cups and candles will be made available to families during the week of December 20th so that everyone can have candles for their family’s Christmas Eve worship service. Please stop in and take however many you and your family will need for our traditional Christmas Eve singing of Silent Night and lighting of the Christmas candles! If you would like candles and can’t get to the church, call and leave a message and someone will get those candles delivered to you!
This year’s Christmas Eve worship service will begin with a prelude processional into the church sanctuary. It will be followed by a full church service provided as a gift from Bishop Devedhar and the UMC Granite District leadership. It will close with a postlude candle lighting and the singing of Silent Night.

PUMC ON-LINE ADVENT CALENDAR
The worship team hopes everyone with a computer is able to access our first church-wide online Advent Calendar. It’s been fun to see the pictures, read the memories, and share the Scripture with each other. If you haven’t seen it yet and would like to join the fun, hit the link below. You can catch up and see all the past Advent posts! https://www.peterboroughumc.org/events/2020-advent-calendar/
As Advent progresses, look for an email request to send in your own jpg, written memory, church memory, or special Advent scriptural reading that always brings the beauty of the season home to your heart! The team is trying to get emails out to as many people as possible. If we miss you and you would like to contribute to this church fellowship outreach project, contact a member of the worship team! We are Susan Lindquist, Wendy Dunning, Amy Gilmet, Ken Constantine, Jim Poplin, Jenny Pierce, Gene Brochu, and Rev Card, of course! Merry Christmas from the worship team!

HUNDRED NIGHTS DINNER ON DECEMBER 19TH
Planning for a weekend meal at Hundred Nights is well underway. There is still time to sign up for donating menu items and paper products for the dinner. This month, menu items should be made in 8-10 serving sizes – the size you would make for your family get-together. No huge pans of food, but a sampling of many smaller dishes. This menu is meant to be laid out like a family or church potluck.
See the menu below and contact Susan Lindquist to join in the meal preparations. Many thanks!
