Please change your contacts for Rev Card to pumcrev@peterboroughumc.org. We will be deleting pumcpastor @ peterboroughumc.org.

*****

PHISHING EMAIL
DO NOT respond if you have received an email from pumcpastor.peterboroughumc@gmail.com, this is NOT one of our email addresses. Rev Card’s email is pumcrev@peterboroughumc.org. This is a phishing attempt. Someone on the internet registered that gmail account and is using it to try to scam people. Please block this sender, or if you are using gmail you can “report phishing.”

PASSING OF MARGE NERZ

Marge’s Obituary: https://www.cournoyerfh.com/obituaries/obituary-listings?obId=19113958
Margaret ‘Marge’ Nerz
March 22, 1929 – November 28, 2020
Margaret Elizabeth Nerz (née Schneider), 91, formerly of Deptford and Sewell, NJ died peacefully at Summerhill Assisted Living Facility in Peterborough, NH on November 28, 2020.

‘Marge’ was born in Camden, NJ, grew up in Westville, NJ and graduated from Woodbury High Schooling 1947. She met her husband Alfred and together they raised their children in Pitman and Ocean City, NJ, and Newark, DE. In one of her proudest accomplishments, she earned her degree from Glassboro State College, graduating in 1970. She went on to teach in the Avon Grove, PA and Avalon, NJ School Districts, before retiring in 1985.

She enjoyed crafts, starting a successful business participating in craft shows throughout South Jersey, and traveling, visiting the US, Europe and China. She was known for her beautiful flower beds and cooking skills, especially her Christmas cookie and candy trays (but mostly healthy choices). She loved dancing (she could really jitterbug), taking long walks and working out at the gym. Marge was very sociable and enjoyed meeting new people and interviewing them Barbara Walters-style. She advised her family to always give a compliment and ask other people about themselves. She will be missed.

She was predeceased by Alfred, her husband of 46 years; her daughter Leslie (Jackie Kehrmann) and her brother William Schneider.

Marge is survived by her sons, Steven (Diane) of Sandy, OR, Michael (Kathleen) of Wenonah, NJ, and Gregory (Laura) of Sharon, NH. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Lindsay Pitcairn, Andrew Nerz, Sarah Nerz, Jessica Nerz, Andrew Morgan, and Julia Nerz; 3 great-grandchildren, Harrison, Elliot, and Owen; her sister-in-law Cecilia “Cyd” Schneider, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, (US Rte. 202) Jaffrey, NH 03452.

A private graveside ceremony will take place at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ.

Attendees at either event are respectfully reminded that social distancing will be observed, and face masks required.
