PASSING OF KEN SCHULTZ
Kenneth Schultz
Lyndeborough, NH — Kenneth Edward Schultz, age 76 of Lyndeborough, NH passed away peacefully and surrounded by the love of his wife, son and dog Dooley at The Arbors in Bedford on January 15, 2022. He was born in Lacrosse, IN on March 23, 1945, the son of Edward and Ruth (Earle) Schultz.
Ken grew up in Medaryville, Indiana. He graduated from Purdue University in 1967 with a degree in agriculture and education. He taught vocational agriculture in Indiana before joining the U.S. Navy in 1972 serving on the aircraft carrier USS America working on aircraft radar. After the Navy he worked for Agency Records Control (ARC) in College Station, Texas, relocating to New England where he retired after 25 years. He returned to his passion for teaching and helped adults earn their GED. Ken worked as a direct support professional for The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc (IPPI) assisting an individual with special needs where they spent the days traveling, hiking, and other adventures.
Ken’s hobbies were weaving, beekeeping, gardening, raising angora rabbits, fishing and spending time at the lake.
He was a member of Peterborough United Methodist Church participating in many committees, classes and activities. His church and faith were a very important part of his life.
Ken is survived by his wife Charlene of 36 years, son Jason (Vanessa), granddaughters Adair and Ashlyn, brothers Jerry (Dolly), Mike (Donna). Ray (Joan), and sister Becky (Bob), brother-in-law Clancy, and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Ken will be scheduled in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ken’s name to Peterborough United Methodist Church, 43 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH 03458

The book group met yesterday and chose the February read … The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See. This book is readily available on Audio, Kindle, through used book stores, and on the state library system – plus through your local library! Feel free to join the February ZOOM meeting of the PUMC Book Group on Tuesday, February 15th @ 1:30 PM. If you have any problem accessing a book, contact Susan Lindquist (or the church office). She can help you get a copy! This winter is going to be long!
