EASTER BASKETS FOR TRANSITIONAL SHELTERS UPDATE
We have 20 children to make Easter baskets for! They range in age from infancy to 13 year olds. We’d love to give the infant a nice stuffed bunny – if anyone would like to donate the bunny, please call Laura Constantine. There are 6 preschoolers, 7 in grade school, 5 in middle school, and 2 are 13 year olds. We hope this info helps when you’re choosing your treats for the baskets. Remember you can contribute money by writing a check to Peterborough United Methodist Church (put Easter basket in the memo line) or through the Just Giving link https://bit.ly/pumcjustgiving. Contributions due April 10. Thank you!

SUNDAY SCHOOL HELP

We are looking for Sunday School assistance and help with developing a youth program for teens and tweens. Grammy Linda would like to have a meeting to work on developing the youth program. She would be available during the week except for Tues and Thurs for a meeting. For Sunday School assistance it would be helpful to have a list of those who would be willing to cover for her when she is away traveling once warm weather hits.

EMAIL ETIQUETTE
Greetings,
This is a brief note concerning emails to church people, present and past. To ensure that PUMC emails are not being inadvertently sent to past members or prior pastors, we would ask that you review your email contacts. Please make especially sure you do not have any group contacts that contain email addresses for pastors Lourey, Lena or Kathleene. Also, if you have ever sent or received emails to or from the pastor you probably have an entry for them in your contacts. Unless you intend to keep personal contact with them you should delete those entries. Note that Kathleene Card is an exception because she remains a PUMC attender, just in a different role.
Thank you.

SUPPORT UKRAINE THROUGH GIFTS TO UMCOR
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), the humanitarian relief arm of Global Ministries, is taking part in the humanitarian response for Ukraine. Support UMCOR’s international disaster response efforts by making a gift to Advance #982450 https://umcmission.org/advance-project/982450/. UMCOR: how to assist the Ukrainian people https://umcmission.org/umcor/how-to-assist-the-ukrainian-people/
*Note about UMCOR disaster relief: Rather than assigning special numbers to be used for giving to support specific disasters, UMCOR has changed to using only 2 numbers for disaster relief efforts: one for disasters in the US (Advance #901670) and one for international disasters (Advance #982450). 100% of giving to these funds goes toward relief projects. Your offerings on UMCOR Sunday, March 27 this year, underwrite UMCOR’s cost of doing business. See more on UMCOR Sunday here.

NH CIVICS, NHPR PARTNER TO HOLD COMMUNITY EVENTS FOCUSED ON CIVIC STRENGTH
What’s at the heart of civic strength? What can we do to best prepare ourselves and our youth to take on the responsibilities of participation in a democratic society? On March 15, NH Civics (https://www.nhcivics.org/) and NHPR will kick off a series of candid conversations about the meaning of citizenship today. The programs will be held around New Hampshire with a diverse panel of guest speakers hosted by Laura Knoy, former host of The Exchange. Attendees can choose to join in person or virtually for a live discussion about how New Hampshire’s people and communities can act now to build back our civic strength.
Conversations with panelists will cover a variety of topics exploring the complexities of American life today, such as:
What is difficult about understanding and carrying out responsible citizenship today?
How does a person become an engaged community member?
What can we do to strengthen and heal our communities?
What does active citizenship look like today?
How can each of us facilitate change within our community?
April 5 at Franklin Pierce University, Rindge
Attendees can choose to attend in person or virtually. Events are free, but registration is required https://www.eventbrite.com/o/new-hampshire-public-radio-6878612579. Sign up and find out more at NHPR.org/events.
Each discussion will also include youth and young people from the community.
