LENT STUDY – Sun 12p

Join us in person or on Zoom Sundays at noon for our bible study.
Contact the church office for Zoom info.

We will be having another family night on Saturday March 18! These will continue on the third Saturday of every month. Everyone is invited to join us for some fun and fellowship.

The next meeting of PUMC’s Book Group will be on Monday, March 20th at 1:30 PM. The meeting will be a hybrid meeting, meaning we’ll be at the church fellowship room with a Zoom screen open for anyone who would like to attend on-line.
The March novel is Marilla of Green Gables by Sarah McCoy. It explores the life of Marilla Cuthbert before she grew up to live with her brother Matthew and adopt Anne Shirley, Lucy Maud Montgomery’s famous protagonist of Anne of Green Gables. This is a fun and nostalgic read for anyone who loved the ‘Anne’ novels and the television series called Anne of Avonlea.
Books should be very easy to come by on-line, through Kindle or Audible, through inter-library loan, through the used book aisles at Toadstool, etc. You’re very welcome to join the discussion. Just let the office know. Susan L will get your email contact info and get you into the book group loop!
Here is a link for the book… check out the blurb! https://www.amazon.com/Marilla-Green-Gables-Sarah-McCoy/dp/0062697714

Food donations for our drop-off to Peterborough Food Pantry should be dropped by next Sunday, so that the February collection can be completed. Many thanks for your continuing support of those folks in the Monadnock region who have challenges in keeping their larders stocked for family dinners!
The March collection will be donated to The Jaffrey Food Pantry. Some ideas for donations – baking and dinner time recipe ingredients like flour, sugar, rice, beans, canned vegetables and fruits, spices and baking powder and baking soda, canned meats, dish washing products and sponges, hygiene products and paper goods not covered by SNAP dollars, cake mixes and frosting for birthday celebrations, kids’ school time snack… supermarket gift cards are also great gifts. They are given to the food pantry staff to purchase needed ‘in demand’ items like dairy, meat, and paper goods. Just some ideas to help you as you decide how you might help this anti-hunger mission… peace!
