FORGOTTEN GOD BIBLE STUDY
The Forgotten God bible study is being held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 am.
Forgotten God: “A follow up to the profound message of Crazy Love, Pastor Francis Chan offers a compelling invitation to understand, embrace, and follow the Holy Spirit’s direction in our lives.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and … the Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of all three, but how often do we live with an awareness of only the first two? As Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised to send the Holy Spirit—the Helper—so that we could be true and living witnesses for Christ. Unfortunately, today’s church has admired the gift but neglected to open it.
Breakthrough author Francis Chan rips away paper and bows to get at the true source of the church’s power—the Holy Spirit. Chan contends that we’ve ignored the Spirit for far too long, and we are reaping the disastrous results. Thorough scriptural support and compelling narrative form Chan’s invitation to stop and remember the One we’ve forgotten, the Spirit of the living God.”
LENTEN BIBLE STUDY
“Lent for Everyone: Matthew, Year A provides readers with an inspirational guide through the Lenten season, from Ash Wednesday through the week after Easter. Popular biblical scholar and author N. T. Wright provides his own Scripture translation, brief reflection, and a prayer for each day of the season, helping readers ponder how the text is relevant to their own lives. By the end of the book, readers will have been through the entirety of Matthew, along with Psalm readings for each Sunday. Suitable for both individual and group study and reflection, Wright’s Lenten devotional will help make Matthew’s gospel your own, thoughtfully and prayerfully, and your journey through Lent a period of discovery and growth.”
There are sign up sheets in the fellowship hall for both bible studies.
If you would like to do either study online please email Rev Card.

WEEKLY FOOD OFFERING
Please consider bringing in food items and paper goods for donation to the Rindge Food Pantry. Collections are taken each Sunday and the food is delivered when the basket is overflowing. The offering basket is near the piano, as you enter our church sanctuary.
After Christmas is a lean time of year for many food-challenged folk. Heating bills and post-Christmas bills come due. Food often gets short shrift. Helping to round out a family’s pantry can be a huge help! Every can and box helps!
