WORSHIP COMMITTEE CHANGES UP FELLOWSHIP HOUR
The worship committee will be taking a step back from kitchen duties when it comes to weekly post-service fellowship hour. The weekly early arrival for set up of coffee hour and the late departure after clean up has become burdensome. The issue of getting volunteers to organize fellowship snack time has been brought up many times. Gladys Bugler asked repeatedly for help in the kitchen and after she became ill, the rest of worship team picked up where she left off. The team has tried to get different committees and church groups to step up, but help has been sporadic to non-existent.
SO …. the committee has decided to resort to a kitchen sign up sheet. It will be posted on the kitchen bulletin board by the pass through. Folks who would like to have fellowship snacks can sign on to organize one Sunday of their choice.
IF NO ONE SIGNS UP, THERE WILL BE NO BEVERAGES AND SNACKS THAT WEEK.
The worship committee will continue to monitor kitchen supplies and have cheeses, crackers, juices for the children, coffee, teabags, and creamer and sweeteners stocked in the kitchen cupboards. Those wishing to host a fellowship snack time will only need to supply any other sweet treats, arrive to make the coffee and set up for the tea station, prepare the platters of cheese crackers, fruits, and snacks, set the tables and then clean things up afterward.
Worship team hopes the congregation understands and that some folks will find it in their hearts to step up to host a Sunday snack time, now and then. If you find you’re interested, but would like a quick kitchen/appliance tutorial, contact Susan Lindquist or Amy Gilmet and we’ll give you a walk through. Many thanks!

UPPER ROOM SUBSCRIPTION
The UMW has graciously funded our Upper Room subscription for several years, but that money has now run out. For both the regular and large print editions it costs $165 a year. Would you please consider sponsoring a portion of this subscription for our church family? To make a donation please see Rev Card or you can drop a check in the offering plate with Upper Room in the note field.
