YOUTH GROUP SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
Dear Church Family
The Education Committee raised the fact that we need a youth group class, because they are the future of our church. I would like to start a Youth Class during services as the year begins. To meet Safe Sanctuary requirements, I need a second person that is unrelated to me to be present in the class.
We will be inviting all teenagers (ages 13 to 19) to participate. The focus of the class is to discern what topics they want to discuss in order to understand what is important to them as they face the world. Once we understand what they need to talk about and Rev. Card approves, then I will go to work developing material that addresses these issues based on scripture, available curriculum, and real life situations. My hope is that they will want to get involved and respond to a discussion of issues concerning them.
Our Safe Sanctuary Policy requires a second adult to be on hand during the class. In order to make this class happen, I need three to four adults to help me in this endeavor. Please contact me as soon as possible to discuss the class further and sign up. Several volunteers will enable volunteers to attend services on a regular basis.
Grace and Peace
Jim Poplin

UNGREENING OF THE CHURCH
We just have two more Christmas trees in the fellowship hall to pack up and bring down to the basement, if we could pretty please get a few volunteers to help. Most of the ungreening has already been accomplished.
