HUNDRED NIGHTS WEEKEND DINNER – Saturday, February 22nd
Every couple months, there is a supper provided by PUMC and Peterborough community volunteers at the Hundred Nights Drop-In Center in Keene. We provide the meal because the Community Kitchen, Keene’s soup kitchen for the needy is closed on weekends. The weekend meal picks up the slack so that those who really need a meal can get one, albeit in a smaller and more crowded location. The next meal is planned for Saturday, the 22nd.
There is a sign up sheet on the fellowship bulletin board with the next menu offering for folks. If you would like to help with this important anti-hunger mission, check out the list of needs and choose one that fits your time and budget. get your name and phone contact on the list and you’ll get a quick reminder mid-week before the dinner. Drop you donation during the week prior or on that Saturday between 1:30 and 3:30. Then, off we go to Keene to serve and socialize with the guests at the Drop-In Center. Many thanks!

PETERBOROUGH UMW AND THE MONADNOCK CENTER FOR VIOLENCE PREVENTION – KIDDIE EXIT BAGS
The UMW will be collecting donations for the next series of quick exit bags to be delivered to MCVP’s offices in Keene. Grab a post-it note off the donation box and return your donation to the box sometime during the month of February. The UMW will stuff the bags for children having to leave a dangerous situation and get them to Keene at the very beginning of March. Bedtime story books were donated for the bags by Nancy Woodward and Sarah Wilson, concerned Fitzwilliam residents after a post was put up on the Fitzwilliam Community Page. The UMW wants to thank these ladies for their love and concern … and their books for the children!
